My biggest Napa tips: - Fly into Sacramento (much easier than SFO) - Make ALL reservations far in advance for wineries, restaurants, etc. - Plan for 2-3 wineries a day max (take your time at each and don’t rush just to cram more in) - Don’t Google “best wineries in Napa”; you’ll get a list of high traffic and touristy ones. Do your research and look for the gems like these in this video. - join wine clubs or buy required number of bottles to waive the tasting fees - You can either pay to ship back your wine or you can buy a “wine check suitcase” to bring your wine back in - Doing the upgraded tasting is usually worth it. You’ll have more time to connect with your host which is key to getting bigger pours 😉 - Don’t just go to the big ones you’ve heard of that you can buy their wine anywhere. Go to the smaller production ones where their wine is harder to get!
