If you follow the food, you know the story. And this story told one of two beautiful cultures in solidarity with one another and sharing their shared histories of struggle and resilience. Part of the story I try to tell about Arab Diaspora is how we impact the foodways of communities we find ourselves in and how we are inspired by other communities and adapt that in our cuisine. That's a beautiful thing worth celebrating. We are adaptive, flexible, and innovative. That's true of all diaspora. PORTLAND YOU SHOWED UP!
