I would encourage others, but deep down inside I didn’t believe in myself enough. I felt undeserving of love. I would simply sit back and let things slide. I would be too forgiving and nice- I would give and give till I was drained. I would be told to speak up and every time I’d shy away and just let my feelings eat away my subconscious. I thought that was normal, but lately I've been feeling tired. This weekend I stepped into my power. I voiced what I want to change from within and to me that’s a start. The Real Catwalk has taught me to be more confident in myself; to be more open and vulnerable in my journey through my life. I’m in control. Self love is not selfish; it is necessary. It is accepting yourself just the way you are for your own physical and mental well-being. The Real Catwalk is truly a safe space where I can borrow a shoulder to cry on or get a tight squeeze from family members when I'm feeling down. Without this powerful community and these precious beings I love so dearly, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
