Save this post for later 💫 And read on for my peel & stick experiences and recommendations! 👀 We were out of town for the most recent heat wave and didn’t get home from JFK until almost 1am 😵‍💫 After a long and miserable day of travel, I was worried I was going to walk in to this room to (finally) put our daughter to bed and find wallpaper falling off the walls... thankfully that was not what happened, and it didn’t peel or bubble AT ALL 🙌🏼 Since we don’t have central A/C, our apartment is especially susceptible to heat and humidity and how it might affect the stickiness of the wallpaper. Although we do have window A/Cs to keep cool, we really only turn them on when we’re home, so while we were out of town, there was no air running at all during the heat wave. I did leave a fan on in this room while we were gone to try and cut down on the humidity, but I’m not sure how necessary that was or if it made a difference. We also always have the bathroom window cracked to allow steam from the shower to escape and not affect the wallpaper in there. I have heard some people have bad luck with peel & stick wallpaper, but I have had the best luck with the 2 brands that I’ve personally used. This one is @wallpaperie (from @etsy) and we also have some in our bathroom that is @roommatesdecor from @amazonhome.
