Wade, which is devastating and unjust, many social media posts have been circling the internet as we approach Independence Day saying “...there is no independence...- sincerely women. “ I echo it and yell, “Where the yall been while we been yelling in the streets.” The fight for independence and liberation for Black + Brown bodies across gender identities and social and economic realities has been a fight many who have been on the battlefield and frontline have yet to benefit from their labor fully.
