Quick PSA ⚠️ as part of my #drjustinetriessunscreens series (look it up - a treasure trove of live sunscreen reviews)🧴 Did you buy your sunscreen around this time last year when we went into lockdown for the first time? The weather was great and the only place we could go was into our gardens or out for walks. There are 2 symbols to look out for on the back of your sunscreen to help you work out if it has expired and needs replacement. In this quick video, I talk you through these. Either it’s an egg timer with the expiry date below or a container symbol with an open lid indicating how many months after opening the product it expires. This is important as you may not be getting the protection you think you are if you’re applying sunscreen that is past it’s use by date. Cue melasma getting darker, skin burning more easily, acne scars taking longer to fade etc etc Did you know about these symbols? Has your sunscreen expired?
