While I have loved my adventure so far on the PCT, I’d be lying if I said it was easy being away from this guy right here. We had plans of spending our anniversary together this weekend here in Cascade Locks but with Tabor’s (our pups) unexpected surgery, we just couldn’t swing the extra trip for Sam to come see me before the end of the trail. So as I head forward into my final 500 miles I want to take today (our 2 year wedding anniversary) to celebrate my husband, @photograferg. I am so incredibly grateful for a partner as kind and supportive as Sam. Thruhiking the PCT has been a dream of mine for the better part of a decade and I know none of this would have been possible this year without Sam’s support back home. Sam, I can’t imagine my life without you. I am so grateful for the last 7.5 years of being in love with you and so excited for all the adventures to come. Happy 2 year anniversary babe.
