R I S I N G T O G E T H E R In a world that oppresses women, sisterhood liberates 〰️ it permeates throughout motherhood & I have been anchoring in it’s essence through doula’ing. Birth work is a powerful healing journey if we open up to it and we arrive exactly where we need to be. Not only do we birth our babies but we birth ourselves into the mothers they came for. So much about my doula community has encouraged me to unpack fears, find my voice & take agency in the birth space & motherhood. Last week we welcomed a new soul earthside with @allthatremainslove who phenomenally birthed her son at home. Honoured to be your Doula & your soul sister, witnessing you bloom into ultimate wholeness & rising far beyond your own expectations. You found your voice & you embraced it with utmost joy & zero fear. You are powerful beyond measure! My mentor @sunni.hart often talks about the doula client relationship being one of co-creation, so I like to think that together we co-created a no fear birth space, creating capacity for pleasure, confidence & deep surrender in the process. I am humbled, mesmerised and empowered by what takes place when we are in this liminal state. 5 years ago today I doula’d for the first time as my dad transitioned from this lifetime & experienced profound magic as we both surrendered to the process of crossing the threshold and where deep sadness and deep love collide.
