Follow for more life in the city with kids 🥰 You know that saying “it’s about the journey, not the destination?” That’s what comes to mind for me when it comes to living in the city with kids. Just leaving the house is exciting and stimulating for my children. During this particular walk where we saw this giant inflatable rat, a few other things my kids pointed out/were excited to about: ▶ a cat in a book store window ▶ a dead 🪳 on the sidewalk ▶ some construction vehicles ("excabaters" as my toddler calls them) ▶ the stream of water created by someone hosing down the sidewalk in front of a restaurant ▶ and some really nice strangers who smiled or said hi to them while we passed by. Literally just leaving the apartment is an adventure, and just one reason we love raising our kids in NY. I love seeing the world through their eyes (unless we’re in a hurry, then we need to JUST GET THERE and not stop to look at every dead bug we see along the way 🤪) PS: I have learned that the this inflatable rat has a name!
