On June 1st, in the Wadi Rum Desert, @oneofmany.studio opened a portal 🕳 What followed is a story we’re going to (attempt to) tell throughout the next couple weeks. Here’s where we start... 20 creators from around the world were invited to gather at the deepest point on Earth, to explore what it would look like to “reclaim creativity.” Not by doing more... but by (as our friend @levinasays) slowing down to the speed of presence. ✨ By BEING with the Land, to remember where we come from. ✨ By deepening our creative practice. ✨ By disconnecting, to reconnect. This pilot experience (one of many 😏 to come) was SO many things, and it will be a lifelong process to integrate and share about it. What we can say now is – it was simultaneously nothing we expected, and everything we thought it’d be. 🧿 We breathed together. 🧿 We wrote & shared poetry. 🧿 We threw a concert in the Desert. 🧿 We shouted the names of our ancestors into the mountains. And they spoke back. 🧿 We imagined with @autumnbreon a world where women were not chained by time. 🧿 We learned from the wisdom of our Bedouin host, @alihamadzalabia Among so much more.
