To @jonbatiste every room (or street corner, or apartment, or subway) is the Grammy main stage. Doesn’t matter if he’s playing to 35 or 35 million. He simply can’t control his soul. I’m one of the many who has personally experienced his passion for performing, and relentlessly positive spirit, in all the above venues. In 2013, @tompaul3 @thesugaryman and I coordinated what became the first of many epic house concerts under the names of Buddy’s Room, Roomtone and Fine Folk. The energy coming off the show depicted in this image changed my life in many ways. I’m grateful for Jon, and for everyone like Gary Su (his manager back then) who helped make sure that the world gets to know this soul. While there is truly no winner in the arts, you deserve what you received brother. And this entire post could have been summed up in one word (in Jon’s voice) - yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah!
