The most common question I receive is how I have built my bod 💪🏽 So, here’s the 3 ways I’ve done it at different times. Pic 1: Changed up my lifestyle. Went from party animal is completely removing alcohol from my life (4 years no beers! 🍻) I started going to the gym again, weight training hard AF, and added more general movement into my life. After work I would workout but also rollerblade, take classes, etc. Pic 2: Literally started eating 1g of protein per 1lb I weigh. Sometimes we don’t need to do anything super drastic, but rather focus on if we are eating enough to support growth. Pic 3: Trained very hard for 6 weeks, tracked everything, made me workouts and nutrition my entire life. Didn’t hangout with friends or do anything that was good for my mental health because I was so hyper focused on brining the best package possible for my show. I rate this method a 2/10 and do not recommend this unless you are training for a specific show or event. Here’s the thing, you have to be willing to dedicate time to really explore all options and see what you like the best. Obviously my body responds amazing when I go on prep, that’s not realistic though. I cannot maintain that way of living year around. But I can maintain weight training 3x a week, eating to build muscle size and shape, and getting movement (cardio) in through classes, walks, and rollerblading. Finding balance and sticking to it is the best way to build your body, IMO. Fad dieting and extreme training are bullshit if you care about your overall health. Listen to your body, get movement in, eat to nourish and build.
