Hey loves! It’s been a while so I wanted to do another one of these Friday introductions 😆 I’m Shelly 👋 and here is a picture of me in my new office space + art studio working on one of my fav projects with @michaelsstores💥 Check out my previous posts to see the art creation process and how to make your very own DIY puzzle! 💛💛 Sharing some fun facts about me below! 🤗 1️⃣ I started lettering back in 2015 because I was unhappy at my full-time job. I started to explore lettering and made it a goal to decorate my cubicle at work with positive affirmations that would motivate me on a daily basis. 🥲 2️⃣ Lettering gave me a new purpose. Because I loved lettering so much and loved sharing all of my tips. I was so excited to teach my first in-person workshop in 2016 and absolutely fell in love with teaching! 🌟 Lettering and teaching lettering definitely holds a special place in my heart 💛 I’ve had the most amazing opportunity to teach lettering workshops in Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, New York, Chicago to name a few. I loved arts & crafts growing up like painting, sewing, making cards, scrapbooking, etc. But I was always reminded that Art was only a “hobby” and that it could never be my full-time.. so I lost my desire to create art when I went to college..I ended up getting my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in College Counseling.. But, somehow I still felt lost.. So, I’m truly grateful that I took the leap to pursue art + lettering full-time a few years back 💛💛 Thanks for reading some fun facts about me and for your amazing love + support for all these years especially the ones who have been following me since day 1!
