It’s World Breast Feeding Week and I keep seeing beautiful photos like this one all over my feed (also- since becoming a mom- it’s amazing what’s happened to my Explore page... can’t I still see Kendall Jenner street style or must it all be newborn tips???) Just wanted to say to everyone seeing these pictures that Jesus this is hard. The well runs dry every day between 2–9 PM; I’m constantly wondering whether or not I’ll have enough all day long when she’s nursing... which of course probably kills the mood (and flow). The word I keep using to describe motherhood is humbling. The second word I use is connecting- to the whole of women for millennia who have walked this path. To all the women who try “X” (insert the countless decisions to make about building/caring for a human) this way, can’t do it that way, don’t want to do it... WHATEVER. Trust yourself, trust your baby. You’re *doing it*. That’s hard enough. And that’s all that matters.
