Returning a mariner safely ashore is one of the most rewarding aspects of our job. We constantly train so we are able to quickly and effectively respond. In this case, we responded to a distressed sailing vessel off the coast of Oregon and completed a 60 nautical mile tow over 20 hours through heavy seas to ultimately moor the vessel safely in the Columbia River.
