A @beldenhouse palate cleanser 💫 LOCATION: Litchfield, CT AREA: Upstate Connecticut — amazing hikes, antiquing, and farm to table food in the area STAY LENGTH: 2 nights ROOM TYPE: One-Bedroom Suite, Room 201 (bedroom, foyer, large living room with pull-out, two fireplaces) AVG PRICE PER NIGHT: $450-65- during our stay but varies by dates and room type (they do have a 3-bedroom penthouse suite that is closer to $2300 per night but looks incredible) RESTAURANTS: 1 on property, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pool service as well from main restaurant. POOLS: Outdoor pool slightly removed from main house — beautifully done. SPA: We were some of the first to experience their brand-new bathhouse, which was great. The fitness center is small and all analog equipment but very thoughtfully designed and well-curated. Bathhouse includes steam, sauna, soaking tub, cold plunge pull, and private bathrooms. We did the thermal experience which is essentially a private takeover of the space for an hour, and thoroughly enjoyed it before our drive home. GUESTS: Only a few other guests during our stay as the hotel is quite new, however, during dinner the restaurant was full (and for good reason!!) By the same owners as @troutbeck.ny, I knew that this hotel would be done well, but I didn’t know exactly what to expect given that the nature of the property was so different from that of Troutbeck’s! It was our first time in Litchfield and we loved the area. The staff at Belden House was some of the friendliest and most accommodating — both on a luxury hospitality concierge level, as well as on a genuine, personable level, always offering great recommendations. As spoken by the photos, I couldn’t stop photographing every corner. A feast for the eyes indeed!! A favorite part is the way that they worked with local artisans and individuals to bring so many of the beautiful and noteworthy furnishings to life in the space. Add it to your list!
