This sweet girl worked so so hard in her first intensive. She has SMA-1 with an extreme lordosis. She hasn’t been able to stand in 2 years. We worked hard and focused on glutes,hamstrings and lower abdominals. We worked on her tolerance in a standing position. When we started she needed to stand on a decline to get heel contact and by the end was tolerating standing with feet flat and was getting activation in quads and glutes. We also got glute and lower abdominal activation in tall kneeling, in 4 point, and great abdominal work in supine to sit. By the end of the week she was also able to sit at the edge of the table with her pelvis in a posterior tilt with great trunk activation - sitting without lordosis..with only minimal support at her pelvis. I’m so proud of her determination and perseverance.. I definitly learned the word NO (nien) in German very quickly in our session 😂😂 She is such a sweet and clever girl with an amazing personality!!
