Vulnerability____ Yes, I am vulnerable and imperfect, sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging. Being brave is to expose myself into the world, having the courage to show up and be seen when I have no control over the outcome. I can put many masks on my face and protect myself from being judged from rejection and being bruised. I can also build tall walls to minimize the risk of being hurt again. The trick is to realize that EVERYONE feels this way. No matter how SUCCESSFULL, how beautiful, how PERFECT someone appears, we all have the same awkwardness, insecurity, bad days, blind spots and self-doubt. That’s human nature. But I take emotional risk that comes from being open and willing to love and be loved and show mine authentic self.
