Two years ago, I had never run more than 3 miles. This past weekend, I completed a full 140.6 mile IRONMAN. Finishing IM AZ was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, both as an opportunity to honor the legacy of my best friend, @mayaamoils, and to commemorate a milestone in my journey healing from OCD. I was honored when @ironmantri invited me to document my first ever IRONMAN. I am continually inspired and in awe of the hard work, mental fortitude, dedication, and motivation of each athlete who lined up at the IM AZ start on Sunday. My story is one of many and I loved hearing everyone’s “Why” during Race Weekend. Here are some highlights from Race Day. I’ve never experienced such electric energy. I’m excited to share a full recap and some of my lessons learned over the next week.
