This morning Kevin and I were invited to observe @purplemartinconservation president Joe and UCF researcher Anna collect samples and band Purple Martins from the Sunshine Community Gardens. They are studying the difference in DNA between the Purple Martins that perished in the 2021 freeze versus the Purple Martins that arrived later in the season. What a wonderful experience it was.
