KCon will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ For being on social media for 10 years, the most rewarding part of my job was always seeing your faces in person. It makes the love that I put into my words so much more meaningful, and it reminds me that I’m not just writing and speaking to a giant void like the internet. A decade ago, men in makeup + skincare in America was not as celebrated as it is now, and I sometimes feel like that was my purpose, so I had to be strong for you all. And now that there are so many other amazing artists out there, I feel like my purpose has shifted, and I’m not needed as much anymore, although makeup will always be part of my self expression. Maybe my next purpose is to enjoy life? 🥹 It feels like a couple lifetimes ago and I sort of recognize this Ivan but I don’t at the same time. I’m so grateful for you, and I so appreciate the tender exchanges we have. Thank you for taking the time to support me when I needed it. I’ve always felt the love. And although I haven’t been very active the past year, I’ve gotten so many messages checking up on me and you don’t know how much it means to me! Little ol me 🥹 I feel like it’s not shared enough on social media that we all change, grow, and it’s okay to not know where your life is heading. I’m figuring it out one day at a time, hope you don’t feel too pressured to be so sure of everything. You have your whole lifetime to do it.
