WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! 🤯 When I started @kaishacreates in 2018, I had no idea what it would become. I initially created this platform to document my journey as a actor and creative living and working in New York City, however, I never anticipated it leading to opportunities like this. I had the opportunity to interview THE @audramcdonald @iamkennyleon and the cast of @ohiomurdersbway 🥹 This play is written by #AdrienneKennedy who is making her Broadway Debut at 91 years young. With decades and decades of work such as “Funnyhouse of a Negro”, “A Lesson in Dead Language”, “He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box” & much more - this is the first of Adrienne’s work to be brought to a Broadway stage. In this play, Suzanne Kennedy, a famous Black female writer returns to her alma mater to reveal the truth of what happened when she was a student there. A Black woman’s experience existing in white spaces is CENTERED in this story and we simply don’t see this enough.
