So incredibly honoured to have been asked to photograph Kim Phuc for @nytimes . This article is so powerful. It was an emotional journey for me. My family lived through the Vietnam war and came to Canada as refugees. The connection to this assignment was strong and pulled at every emotion I had. I feel like my whole life led up to this moment. Thank you to Kim for her generosity of spirit and for your insight on war, representation and how photos can lead to change.
