Grateful to curator Sakinna Gairey and @g101ottawa + @_obak_ for having my image in their exhibition “We Live As We Die.” Had great conversations, made new friends and reconnected with old ones I hadn’t spoken to in 9 years. I left feeling inspired by the incredible artists featured in the show. It’s amazing to know that a series I shot what feels like so long ago, at the genesis of my photography journey, resonates with others today. Stepping into the gallery, I was overcome with emotion seeing the image moving with the wind. When I shot this, never would I have thought this is where it would end up. I can only imagine what God has planned. Grateful to have been able to breathe new life into this work and always grateful for the support from all of you. The show is up at Gallery 101 in Ottawa until October 22nd!
