You know I left a part of me back in New York ✨ Red has been my favorite album ever since Taylor first released it in 2012. I’ve grown up with these songs, and even experienced what it’s like to relate to them, for better or for worse. Reflecting back on the past year, I’ve survived through some of the toughest obstacles I have ever had to face; losing my dog of 17 years, being diagnosed with a chronic illness, heartbreak, and much more. But there’s always a balance to life, with the deepest downfalls comes the most enjoyable highs, and pictured in this post is one of those moments I have been lucky to have experienced. So when people ask me, “what’s so great about this girl named Taylor Swift”, it’s not just about the music you hear on the radio. Her music has saved me in times I could not have helped myself. She’s brought so many wonderful people and life experiences I wouldn’t have had otherwise. With the announcement of her newest album, Midnights, we say goodbye to the Red era once again. To me, Red (Taylor’s Version) will forever remind me of the growth I’ve seen in myself the past year, and the strength I’ve gained along the way.
