it’s been a long time coming... offering the first ever in-person MORNING EXORCISE 👹 pls share with friends 🫶 THIS SATURDAY 2—4PM @STOMPINGGROUNDLA 5453 Alhambra Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90032 MORNING as in awakening– to our senses, our agency, our connections 🌬 EXORCISE as in ritual– for purging the body of habitualized, socialized choreographies 🤮 i started MORNING EXORCISE at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to bring us together in virtual space to explore expansive movement, mutual presence, and collective transformation. i am excited to integrate into one collective heartbeat, to dissolve into the aliveness of our reborn sweaty flesh suits worshiping possibility, an elsewhere and an otherwise (à la josé esteban muñoz) into existence! dancing the possible into being is feeling potentiality in the vibration of every cell! it’s nurturing and surrendering to the deep knowing that lives inside of you, inviting it to move through you, and witnessing it ripple through the world around you 🫀🌊✨ class will consist of a warmup, movement meditations, rhythmic conversations with earth & sky, and a collective score, all soundtracked by bjork’s debut album and our own giggles~ᴗ̈ flier reads open to all levels to emphasize that no formal “movement experience” is required and that every body has beautifully vast and unique movement experience from a lifetime of moving in a body! “levels” crossed out because we are unlearning hierarchies ;) suggested donation: $20–30 venmo @Jasmine-Lin or cash invitation to pay what you can, nobody turned away for lack of funds 🤲 masks optional, garage & doors will be open for ventilation original photo in flier by @lorrinsees @bjork videos from my enchanting time at @ghostlightresidency @warnergrand collaborating with @rybg.co (video) @flt.n3sss (music) @victorp500 (lighting) @champagnehitachi (costume) ❤️‍🔥
