PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. In PRP treatment, we start with your own blood and use a centrifuge to isolate the platelets. The resulting substance, PRP, contains 3-5 times the number of platelets as regular blood. When used for hair growth PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is injected directly into the scalp. This shows results one month after a series of three sessions. Hair loss may be related to hormonal or other underlying conditions, and routine bloodwork with your primary care provider is the place to begin. We require this be completed before scheduling PRP with our office. It is also important to note that combination therapy works best for hair loss patients. In addition to PRP you may be advised to consider hair supplements, light therapy, and compounded prescriptions. . . . #prp #hairloss #hairgrowthtips #hairgrowth #aestheticsolutions
