It’s IMENEO tech week! Happy to share this snippet from our rehearsal last week with the McGill Baroque Orchestra. Ornamenting is one of my favourite practices in Handel opera. Because so many arias are in ternary “da capo” form, many performers add ornaments to the return. I personally use ornamentation to enhance the drama onstage and develop my character’s arc during the aria. It is incredibly fun and rewarding. So excited to be in the @theatreparadoxe this week as we have our final rehearsals before opening night on Friday.
