What does applying dry shampoo look like under the microscope? #haircare #hairtips #hairscience #dryshampoo In for a preparation for this video. I didn't wash my hair for a couple days, and I just came back from the gym and all of that made my scalp pretty oily. It all that to see how effective dry shampoo, is at absorption all of that oil. Applied some dry shampoo to my hair part and I might've added a little bit too much but it's okay. I let the products it for a little bit and then I started patting it on my scalp. You and I, let's talk a little bit about how dry shampoo works. Sebum is an oily substance produced by by your body’s sebaceous glands. it consists of squalene, esters of glycol, wax, Cholesterol and fatty acids, if your scalp is oily that means you're producing too much sebum or there's too much sebum on your scalp and dry. Shampoos, there are alcohols or starch base ingredients that soak up the oils in your hair or they dissolve the oils in your hair, so that your hair scalp is no longer oily. And the results, you see that there's some product build-up because you are spraying products in your hair and just by patting, it doesn't make it go away. The product build-up isn't really visible to the eye only to my microscope.
