✨ Let me explain ✨ I understand the appeal of wanting your instagram or whatever platform you use to be cohesive and have an overall similar general esthetic. The problem I see arising with not including non-filtered photos on your posts as well, is that you never can tell what is actually tattooed and what is just irritated and red. I could take a cap of water and shade a large square on my thigh and it would look like the smoothest tattoo ever in black and white- because irritation stays the same tone across the board (unless you’ve really gouged somebody). It’s insanely easy to get a consistent smooth red tone on your leg with no ink. What I personally look for in black and grey tattoos is where the shading ended- how well did the artist blend INTO the skin tone, rather than camouflage it with redness? I know this will probably get some push back, and that’s ok. I’d just like to put it out to the tattoo universe that as someone who thoroughly enjoys breaking down tattoos, inspecting them and figuring out how the artist did it- it’s just a bit of a bummer because you’re taking that away from the viewer. I’m only asking that you include the unedited photo in your posts as well, for people like me. :) What are your thoughts??
