A unique journey began in 2011 when my friend @taylorsteele introduced me to @rob_machado in NYC after his Melali Sessions Band performed, which I captured live in a drawing side stage. Some years later on a visit to Encinitas for @solento_tequila (which the three of us became co-founders of among an incredible family), I had the opportunity to paint a board for Rob and the idea was forged to collaborate at his Oceanside factory. The work created became a balance point of thought provoking original marks applied to hand hewn shapes, juxtaposed to embody a counterculture ethos. These exclusive original vessels were created to commemorate our 2nd annual @solentosurffestival happening now in Encintas and will be exhibited @alilamareabeachresort September 21st-29th.
