45 years. i write this as you were deciding to play racket ball this morning. my god, i can’t wrap my head around this one. it’s been so long my love, yet here you are with a new wave and generation of fans to love you. ready to go see you. i always said before you changed my life, but this time you really did. creating a family and having a home all because of you. today is hard, and i wish i was there. words aren’t ever going to be enough on how much you drastically changed my life and how you are constantly in my thoughts. and there aren’t enough letters or words to put together for a thank you. how can you thank a man who’s done everything for you? your talents, legacy and love will always live on. your eternal flame will never die. i don’t ever expect people to understand but when you have Elvis in front of you, there’s no explanation needed. i’m so glad to know you are resting, because we all know your body and soul needed it beyond what we knew at the time. it’s hard knowing you gave everything to others, quite literally.. til your last moments. the small boy from Tupelo, turned into The King. we miss you.
