Today is a pretty big moment for JXN because thanks to the Henrico County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and Library of Virginia, the project was finally able to recover and replicate the original will of Abraham Peyton Skipwith from 1797. 🤯 ⁣ ⁣ And its very important not to understate this moment in Black American History as this is one of the first, if not the first, known wills to be fully executed by a Black Virginian andor Richmonder — let alone with a remaining original copy. #thejxnproject
