I got the postpartum chop. I was having the best time with @hairbyelliefletcher and hanging out with all the girls in the salon and then I got in my car and sobbed all the way home. The last time I got my hair done, it was the day before my c-section. I was anxious but mostly so excited to meet my girl. This time, I had to chop my hair off because it’s been falling out in clumps from postpartum. I’ve had to do “the chop” after all my babies, except this time I didn’t have a baby to come home to and love on after my appointment. There are so many things you experience postpartum I used to brush off because it’s “just part of having a baby” but this time every experience and every symptom is heightened. It’s lonely and hard and triggering. 4 months in and it’s almost harder than the first day, knowing that these feelings will be with me for the rest of my life and learning how to live with them. Day by day, and sometimes just minute by minute🎀
