Tiger Tiger - This was shot at Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve, Free State, South Africa. - These tigers are proudly in Africa as part of an ex-situ project - to save a species outside its normal home range. At the start of the 20th century, there were around 100,000 wild tigers in the world. These animals are currently so endangered, there are fewer than 4,000 wild tigers left across the world. - Tiger Canyon is the only expanding population of wild tigers outside of Asia, with the only white wild tigers on planet Earth. The tigers establish their own territories, are free to hunt their prey and create their own family groups. - To answer the questions that will no doubt come: Yes these are wild tigers living in Africa, yes this is from a drone, yes we worked tirelessly with the reserve to make sure the tigers were unaffected by what we were doing and yes, it took a lot of time and patience from everyone involved!
