I want to help people to overcome their fear of sharks so they will help protect them, but a high healthy level of respect while working in water with them should remain with a constant awareness of their behavior and proximity. . Care, compassion, and understanding are fueled by opportunities for connection, and professional safety guides have an important responsibility to develop their skills before being responsible for others under their care in order to help facilitate positive interactions by recognizing or responding to potentially conflicting body language and behavior from both species. . I love Roxy, I wish I could fix her broken jaw and remove those bolts of human impact, but despite I’ve been lucky enough to dive with her for over a decade I’ll always keep up a level of readiness for the mana she and other sharks are capable of showing. . If you’re interested in diving with sharks PLEASE DO, there is nothing like the presence of a shark🦈❤️🦈, but for larger predatory species always go with an experienced and professionally trained guide. ⭐️🦈The intensively trained expert safety team @oneoceandiving takes people out 7 days a week if you’re living or visiting #Oahu ❤️🦈 Shark populations are being wiped out.
