I lost my grandma , my aunt, and now my mother. My mom died on November 25. It was something I wasn’t prepared for — my mother suffered with lupus and other health issues but she didn’t tell anyone. She suffered in silence. Although my mom and I have had some disagreements, I know everything she’s ever done was to protect me because she loved me and wanted the best for me. Everyday, she would call me and it wouldn’t be for anything really - it was because she missed my voice. Sometimes I’d call her to help me to cook. She’d say, “now you want to learn!” But then she’d teach me. My mom did everything for me and now I won’t be able to hear her voice anymore. I’m going to miss her calling me everyday just to check up on me. I’m going to miss her voice. I would give anything just to hear her again, even if it’s just her yelling at me. I just want to say y’all please take care of yourselves and put your health first. Life is too short. You never know when it’s your time, so please live life to fullest.
