Today, we have master coach Lizzy @lizzypicardi demonstrating the proper way to perform step-ups as well as some common mistakes we want to help you avoid.
CORRECTIONS:
✅ Drive firmly through the front leg.
✅ Stand up tall at the top of the step-up.
✅ Stabilized squat pattern when rising and stabilized on the descent.
✅ Keep the chest up and open while retracting the lats.
COMMON ERRORS:
❌ Significant bending in the back leg.
❌ Rebounding instead of driving firmly through the front foot.
❌ Hips rising too soon.
❌ Uncontrolled squat pattern.
Spot the difference? Small fixes make a big difference!
