Hydrating, fiery, and dangerously drinkable 🌶🥒 Spicy cucumber margarita Makes 2 drinks. Ingredients * 4–6 slices fresh jalapeño * 4 oz tequila blanco * 3 oz fresh cucumber juice (from about 1 medium cucumber) * 1.5 oz fresh lime juice * 1 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau) * Salt for rim * Ice Instructions 1. Prepare the glasses: Moisten the rim of two glasses with a lime wedge. On a shallow plate, spread out your salt or Tajín. Dip the glasses into the salt mixture to coat the rim evenly. 2. Infuse the tequila: For a moderate kick, add the jalapeño slices and agave to a cocktail shaker. Muddle gently to release the jalapeño oils. Add the tequila and let it sit for a few minutes to infuse the flavor. For more intense spice, you can infuse the tequila with jalapeños ahead of time by letting them sit together in a jar for 1–2 hours. 3. Combine the ingredients: Add the fresh lime juice and optional orange liqueur to the shaker. 4. Add ice and shake: Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Seal and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker is frosty. 5. Strain and serve: Fill the prepared glasses with fresh ice. Strain the margarita mixture into the glasses. Garnish with a cucumber round or a fresh jalapeño slice, and serve immediately. For the cucumber juice 🥒 1. Peel one medium cucumber. (For English cucumbers, peeling is optional.) 2. Chop the cucumber into chunks and place them in a blender. 3. Blend until the cucumber is a smooth, liquid puree. No water is needed. 4. Strain the purée through a fine-mesh sieve into a glass or jar, pressing the solids with a spoon to extract all the juice. 5. Chill the cucumber juice until ready to use. #cocktail #cocktails #margarita #cocktailculture
