With great dismay and deep sadness we have learned of the death of Ralf Schenk who has been a close companion and important contributor to the Berlinale for many years – not only as a longtime member of our Competition’s selection committee but also as a moderator of countless press conferences or by sharing his tremendous film expertise in numerous panel discussions.
