Earlier this month, Adonis Ghanem, one of the managing directors of The Boom Boom Room and The Ghanem Group at large, received the 2022 South East Queensland Lifetime Achiever Award at the Restaurant and Catering Association Awards for Excellence. Adonis, alongside brother and managing partner Nehme, were both brought up in family run cafes and restaurants all their life. Adonis started by polishing cutlery and folding napkins after school before rising through the ranks as a kitchen hand, barista, waiter and then manager.
