With these long, hot, drawn out European summer days noticeably getting shorter I can’t help but think about the fact that somewhere across the world a winter has run it’s course and is slowly coming to an end. And I’m not there, zis conflicting and simply not on. So I’m coming home for the best late season winter swell run Cape Town has ever experienced....not that there’s any swells on the forecast....and not that we’ve experienced good late season swells in the last few years, but purely because I’m desperate to throw myself over a steep wall and hoping that somehow I’ve hit the mark here with this relatively shallow attempt to in some shape or form harness the laws of attraction. And if this doesn’t suffice, then I’ll throw myself off one of the many other fun kind of metaphorical ledges that life has to offer and hope for a similar kind of high intoxicating effect.
