Dholki Part 1: A night to remember ✨🪔 I celebrated my first wedding event this weekend and my heart is unbelievably full. I could not have asked for a more joyous evening. My cheeks were sore from smiling and laughing the entire night and I was thrilled that so many people made it out to the event and onto the dance floor with me. For those who don’t know, a dholki is a colorful celebration that kicks off Pakistani weddings with food, singing, and dance performances. Pakistani brides often have multiple dholki celebrations, and this was my first. I could not have asked for a better kick off! My mother got me this gorgeous dress from Pakistan and did my hair. My sweet friend Apoorva brought me the roses you see in my updo. My friends traveled from all over the country to participate and left everything they had on the dance floor. It was a beautiful night and I feel so grateful to have so many incredible people in my life to share my happy moments with. My fiancé got COVID the day before the event and was unfortunately unable to join, but he was dearly missed and is looking forward to the next event. I cannot wait to share more photos and moments from my special night. Thank you to all those who sent their love, danced and sang with me, and kept me in their prayers. Loads of love to all of you - I could not be more excited to continue all the celebrations.❣️ Photos by the incredibly beautiful and talented @pareenmhatre Outfit from @mohsin.naveed.ranjha Hair by @arzoo.h.mustafa
