Carter Hudson aka Reed Thompson is super intense and awesome daily I love his small smile when he knows we hit it after a good take. This first couple of shots is about transitioning his cool blue light that’s been his signature is leaving with him in the foreground and the orange light is coming in behind him almost pushing him! That’s kind of my thh he ought process behind it and you see it again when I flip to him at the door. One of my favorite things is using hard light and making hard light into soft light by it hitting a surface in the shot . I saw this for years in still photography and also sitting in a room and just watching light and I think 🤔 I have a sense of it now after many years to have it work for me. Look at the surfaces of Reeds hotel room but the things bouncing the light are not blown out while they still give light. Then I hide other sources to carry the bounce .
