Since I know slightly more people follow me this week than usual, I want to take this chance to say something about Swedish filmmakers. Not only the ones working in the Swedish language, but those who are really making international films on a grand scale. We're a small country, but we have had so many amazing talents leading the way through the years, and that opens doors not just for the Swedish movie industry but also for artists and authors like myself. If I can mention just three films right now, it's Ruben Östlund's "Triangle of Sadness" (an absolutely fantastic creator, truly one of the greatest ambassadors for Swedish art I can think of) and "Boy from heaven" by Tarik Saleh (such a powerful film, unbelievably gifted storytelling). I also want to mention "And then we danced", by Levan Akin, even though it's from 2019, because it's one of the most beautiful cinema experiences I've ever had. I'm mentioning these, but I hope you give other Swedish filmmakers a chance whenever you can too. Neda and I are such a small, small part of this whole industry, but with the attention given to us through A man called Otto we feel it's an important duty to shine as much light on our country as we can. We're so very proud of having had the chance to work with Rita Wilson, Marc Forster, Renée Wolfe, Tom Hanks, Playtone, Artistic Films and Sony, but we're extra special proud of the way producer Fredrik Nicastro Wikström managed to make this a production made and funded by the Swedish movie company SF. We hope this opens doors financially for many Swedish filmmakers, especially the next generation. For whatever small part we had the opportunity to play in all that, we're eternally grateful.
