New one for @chrisstapleton for his show tomorrow at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY! This is juuuuust about as close to a “hometown” show that I’m able to get!!! Like I just mentioned, I’m from the middle of nowhere upstate New York - it’s beautiful, but nobody ever tours there. So the second I was asked back by the Stapleton camp to create a poster for CMAC? EASY YES from me. The concept also came insanely easy.. did you know that the fingie lakes essentially already spell Chris? Well, now you do! I just added in some extra lil ponds to make out his last name, made the venue bigger (it’s geographically correct!), and BAM, we had a poster. I also added in some hot air balloons, as the NYS festival of balloons happens in two weeks in my hometown, which is just a little under an hour away. I even got to speckle in my favorite balloons from when I was a kid - how could that not be considered a nostalgic win?? ANYWAYS - thank you as always to @sep_lab for making this real pretty for press, and to @ddlprintshop for handling the printing this time around. The Stapleton folks will have these at the merch table tomorrow, and I’ll have AP’s up at the end of next week after I work thru the Billy and goose orders.
