Get up close with a (metaphorical) forest of table corals from our scientific collections. Two possible reasons these corals grow in broad, horizontal patterns: 1) Spreading out increases the chances that each individual polyp gets more sunlight, and 2) their table-like shape makes for a very dainty fish tea-party. 🐠
