I am only 2 months in and who knows how I’ll feel in 6 months or even tomorrow but this is what I know now. . Having a third has brought me back to a slowness I know and love within motherhood. It has recentered me to connect with my older two, to have even more patience and understanding with them. And I can also see how much it’s already taught them. . I think we can all feel the need to go go go in motherhood. There’s always so much to be done and when your kids become kids and not toddlers anymore, at least for me personally I found myself almost aging them? My expectations definitely grew but having another baby has sort of forced me to take a step back, be more present and to remember they’re still so young. The neediness of a newborn allowed me to be more available to them, too. . AND, I swear I’m capable of so much more now even with more on my plate?
