Lately I have been really slammed with transphobic messages and death treats only because I was seating at the same table of a famous football player at a charity dinner .
I would love to tell you that I didn't care , I really wish , but I was really hurt by the violence of the messages , even thought I've experienced it before .
And still , it hurts . I still don't understand where all this intolerance and violence come from .
However this is an extract of my very first speech front of an audience for @changenow_world
I wanted , I mean I tried to explain how being trans leads to so much empathy and care for others as it is a difficult path but in the same time so transcendantal and empowering .
My transition offered me the most beautiful gift that I cherish today more than anything , it opened my heart and awakened my soul.
I was a bit nervous and didn't followed anything that was planned , but I did speak with my heart and I hope it will inspire you .
Most importantly I talked about this amazing organization i will be working with , in the Amazon forest this summer @association_jiboiana and how meeting the Indigenous leaders in Paris inspired me to give everything i possibly can for them , for us .
Also you can see someone living the room , after hearing the word "trans" multiple times ...
I am not blaming or judging ,
It only shows that there's still a lot of work to do, that LGBTQI+ representation is important and to speak our truth is necessary .
( Link in bio to see the full video on YouTube .)
please share your thoughts and let's talk about it .
Infinite gratitude to @changenow_world for having me and special thanks to my friend @thequeenofcare @whocareschronicles who made it happen .
