What does it mean for a whiskey to be Bottled in Bond? Well, I’ve been keeping this under wraps for a while but a couple months ago, I had a dream come true and traveled to Lynchburg, Tennessee with @eater to interview @jackdaniels_us Master Distiller, Chris Fletcher. In this video, we chat about the history of Jack Daniel’s and why one of the oldest running distilleries in the US has finally decided to put forth some incredible #bottledinbond offerings this past year. Chris also walks us through the prerequisites in order to call a whiskey “bottled in bond” and how/why that title is as important today, as it was back in the 1800s. Just as a personal note, Jack Daniel’s and I go wayyy back, it was my drink of choice and it started with Old No. 7. I think it’s only fitting to finally taste test this refined new offering in Jack Bonded and the Triple Mash Bonded with Chris Fletcher, what a true honor.
